Eliza Martin

The Free BMD Index shows Eliza Martin, born Jan-Feb-Mar 1847 in Westbourne, Sussex.

Research thus far has yet to establish
  • A relevant death record
  • A marriage record
  • A presence in the 1881 Census
In 1879, there is a marriage record with either Henry Telford Hayman (although there's no Eliza Hayman in the 1881 census) or Edwin Hammond.
There is a Sussex record of an Eliza Hammond in the 1881 Census. Husband Edwin Hammond.
Looks like a match, except this Eliza was born in Boxgrove, Sussex (about 8 miles away from Bosham) in c1860.

Sadly, I can't locate a death record for Eliza Hammond either.

    What's that about barking up the wrong tree? Eliza is the Daughter of John Martin and Patience Savage, which makes her my great, great, great, great, great aunt.
    She actually marries William Catt is 1865 as shown here
